Why this program?

The Albuquerque Teacher Residency Partnership provides you with a quality program that prepares you to be a successful Elementary or Secondary teacher starting on the very first day of school. As a Resident, you will receive support from a community of experienced, compassionate educators from both APS and UNM. As a member of a supportive learning cohort, you will also become part of a family of educators.

ATRP Residents complete all coursework to become licensed teachers in only three semesters, with the option of completing a fourth semester of coursework for a Master's degree in Education. The ATRP is unlike any other program available for aspiring teachers in New Mexico.

Your Residency experience will shape and define your career as a professional educator for years to come!
